India, May 22 -- Following the launch of its 5G services in Kolkata and Siliguri last year, telecom operator Vodafone Idea (Vi) is expanding its 5G network across additional cities in West Bengal. As part of the rollout, Vi 5G is now available in Malda, Haldia and Berhampur, with services expected to go live in Durgapur, Asansol, Habra-Ashoknagar, Burdwan, Kharagpur, Gangtok and Darjeeling by June.

To expand its 5G footprint, Vi said it is prioritising markets that include industrial centres, high data consumption areas, and emerging urban clusters.
