India, April 28 -- Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released a consultation paper examining the growth of public Wi-Fi networks in India, inviting feedback from industry stakeholders and the public on ways to accelerate deployment.
Issued on 27 April 2026, the paper evaluates the existing regulatory framework and highlights key challenges affecting the proliferation of public Wi-Fi infrastructure across the country.
