TRAI, Singapore's IMDA deepen cooperation on telecom regulation
India, Aug. 26 -- The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and Singapore's Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to strengthen cooperation in telecommunications and broadcasting regulation.
The agreement was signed in Singapore on the sidelines of the fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR). Harinder Kumar, Secretary, TRAI, and Aileen Chia, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director-General, IMDA, signed and exchanged the LoI.
The LoI establishes a framework for institutional cooperation between TRAI and IMDA and provides for the exchange of knowledge, information, expertise and regulatory experience.
