India, Sept. 11 -- India's Union Minister for Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M Scindia, has called for an inclusive, secure, and trusted digital financial ecosystem, positioning telecom connectivity as the underlying infrastructure for the next phase of fintech growth in India.

Speaking at the Global Fintech Festival 2026 in Mumbai on Thursday, Scindia said telecom networks provide the "invisible highway" on which fintech evolves, while connectivity, compute, and trust form the digital trinity that will underpin intelligent financial services.

"Before finance becomes intelligent, it must become inclusive," he said.
