India, Sept. 11 -- STL has secured US Optical Fiber Nonconductive Plenum (OFNP) certification for its 48 to 576-fibre Intermittently Bonded Ribbon (IBR) pre-terminated cable assembly portfolio, as data-centre operators look to accommodate higher fibre densities and bandwidth requirements driven by AI workloads.

The certification covers factory-built fibre assemblies designed for indoor data-centre deployments. The assemblies are supplied with connectors installed, polished and tested before deployment, eliminating the need for field termination and splicing.
