India, July 20 -- STL Optical Connectivity (STLOC), the US subsidiary of STL (Sterlite Technologies), has launched its new fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) solution, CONCAT, after completing field trials on the network of one of the largest telecommunications service providers in the United States.

Following the field validation, CONCAT is now commercially available for digital infrastructure providers looking to accelerate fibre deployments while reducing installation complexity and labour requirements. According to STL, the solution can reduce labour costs by up to 71% by minimising field splicing through the use of factory-assembled, pre-connectorised fibre segments designed for plug-and-play installation.
