India, Sept. 28 -- More than 300 people approached digital rights organisation SFLC.in's RightsLine helpline in a single week to report alleged digital rights violations, including account disablements and content takedowns, the organisation said. The latest complaints have taken RightsLine's total caseload to more than 590 since its launch in September 2025.

In nearly all the cases, users were not given specific reasons by social media platforms for account restrictions or content removals, according to SFLC.in. The organisation said some accounts were suspended for alleged violations of "Account Integrity" or community standards, without identifying a specific post, instance or conduct linked to the suspension.
