India, Sept. 21 -- SES and JioStar have signed a multi-year agreement under which SES will provide satellite distribution services for JioStar's television channel portfolio across India and the Indian subcontinent, adding capacity and resilience to the media company's broadcast distribution infrastructure.

Under the agreement, JioStar will transition its services to SES's IS-20 satellite for distribution to cable, direct-to-home (DTH) and other broadcast distribution networks. The arrangement is aimed at maintaining delivery of JioStar's television channels to households across India and neighbouring markets.
