India, June 26 -- Qualcomm has announced an agreement to acquire AI software company Modular, a move aimed at strengthening its software capabilities for generative and agentic AI across edge devices and data centre environments.

The acquisition combines Qualcomm Technologies' semiconductor expertise with Modular's AI-native software platform to support the deployment of AI workloads across heterogeneous computing environments. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
