India, March 13 -- Raghav Chadha, a Member of Parliament from the Aam Aadmi Party, raised concerns in Parliament on Wednesday about the structure of prepaid mobile recharge plans, arguing that current policies place an unfair financial burden on consumers. During his intervention, he criticised telecom operators for offering prepaid plans with a 28-day validity cycle rather than a full calendar month.

Chadha said the practice effectively forces prepaid subscribers to recharge 13 times in a year instead of 12, resulting in additional annual expenditure for users.
