India, Aug. 10 -- NTT Docomo and Samsung Electronics have validated an AI-based radio access network (AI-RAN) optimisation technology that can adjust network configurations for individual users based on real-time wireless conditions and the services they are using.

In a validation conducted in Japan in January 2026, the technology reduced the frequency of communication-speed degradation from 13.1% to 7.2%, a reduction of 5.9 percentage points compared with network operation without the AI-based optimisation.
