Lightstorm secures Rs 2,500 crore for AI fibre network
India, Aug. 13 -- Lightstorm has announced plans to build an AI-focused, high-capacity fibre network across India's southern corridor, connecting key AI infrastructure zones and extending to Singapore and Malaysia through the I-2SEA subsea cable system.
The company has secured a Rs 2,500 crore debt facility led by IndusInd Bank to support the network expansion. The facility has a 10-year tenor and is fully underwritten. Lightstorm has a CARE AA- rating with a stable outlook.
The planned network is intended to provide high-capacity connectivity between data centres, AI infrastructure and international hubs as demand for computing capacity increases in India.
