India, Sept. 1 -- Infobip has launched a SIM-based Number Verification solution designed to help telecom operators provide network-based authentication services to enterprises through Network API aggregation.

The solution is aimed at reducing reliance on traditional one-time passwords (OTPs), which face growing challenges from fraud, delivery failures, cost pressures and regulatory requirements.

SIM-based Number Verification uses the SIM card and mobile network as an identity layer. Instead of requiring users to receive and manually enter an OTP, the service verifies that a mobile number is associated with the SIM in the device, allowing authentication to take place without manual code entry.
