India, Dec. 4 -- To advance research, innovation, and capacity building in next-generation communication technologies, the government has established 100 dedicated 5G laboratories within academic institutions across the country. This initiative aims to cultivate an academic and start-up ecosystem that is well-positioned for the transition to 6G.
According to data presented to the Lok Sabha by the Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, 5G services are now available in 99.9% of Indian districts.
