India, Oct. 9 -- Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia has called on India's telecom industry to build an end-to-end domestic value chain spanning network equipment, technology development and innovation, as the country expands its semiconductor manufacturing capabilities.

Speaking at the CEO roundtable titled "The Sovereign Inflection & The Future of Telecom" at the 10th India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 in New Delhi on Thursday, Scindia said India had reached a point where its role in shaping telecom rules, manufacturing equipment and developing technology would become increasingly important.
