India, Aug. 15 -- In-flight connectivity is moving into a new phase as airlines shift from offering basic onboard internet towards providing the kind of broadband experience passengers increasingly take for granted on the ground.

For India's aviation industry, the change comes as passenger traffic expands, airlines add wide-body aircraft and digital services become more closely tied to the overall travel experience. Satellite technology is at the centre of that transition, with multi-orbit networks allowing airlines to combine different satellite systems to improve coverage, performance and resilience.
