India, Sept. 18 -- The Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) has elected Jitendra Singh Chaudhary, Executive President at HFCL Limited, as its Chairman.

TEPC is the industry body responsible for promoting India's telecom equipment and services exports and facilitating engagement between exporters and the government on trade and market access.

Chaudhary was previously elected to the TEPC Governing Council, representing export houses, trading houses and star trading houses under India's Foreign Trade Policy. His appointment as Chairman places him at the head of the council as India seeks to expand its presence in global telecom equipment and services markets.
