India, April 23 -- The Government of India has launched an updated Technology Development and Investment Promotion (TDIP) Scheme with an outlay of Rs 203 crore for the 2026-31 period. The scheme was introduced by Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Union Minister for Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, in the presence of Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani and Amit Agrawal, Chairman of the Digital Communications Commission and Secretary for Telecommunications.

The initiative is intended to support domestic technology development in 5G Advanced and 6G, while strengthening India's participation in global telecom standard-setting processes.
