India, Aug. 15 -- July's cyber threat landscape was marked by pressure across several fronts. Global cyber attacks continued to rise, ransomware activity accelerated after a relatively stable first half of the year, and the growing use of GenAI introduced a more visible risk of sensitive information being exposed through everyday business activity, according to a Check Point Software Technologies' report.

The global attack trend continued upwards in July. Organisations experienced an average of 2,336 weekly cyber attacks, representing a 3% increase from June and a 16% rise compared with July 2025.
