India, June 9 -- Ericsson and Epiroc have expanded their long-standing partnership to support automation and digital transformation in the mining sector, as mining companies increasingly adopt digital technologies to improve safety, productivity and operational efficiency.

Under the expanded agreement, Epiroc will integrate Ericsson's LTE and 5G connectivity solutions into its digital portfolio for surface and underground mining operations. The collaboration aims to help mining companies deploy wireless communication systems that can support remote operations, automation and predictive maintenance.
