India, April 14 -- Check Point Software Technologies has released its Manufacturing Threat Landscape 2025 report, highlighting an increasingly complex cyber security environment for the global manufacturing sector. The findings indicate that India has emerged as a key hotspot for ransomware activity in the Asia-Pacific region, with manufacturing organisations experiencing a significant rise in both the frequency and impact of attacks.

According to the report, 65% of affected organisations in India paid ransoms during 2025, with average payments reaching USD 1.35 million.
