India, April 13 -- Land owned by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) in Mumbai is set to be used for the development of affordable housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The site, located in the Borivali area of the city, has been identified as part of a broader effort to address housing demand in urban centres. The decision was taken by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during a meeting of the Maharashtra Housing Development Authority held at the Sahyadri Guest House.
