India, April 9 -- Avantel, a communication solutions provider has received a purchase order worth Rs 11.59 crore from NewSpace India (NSIL) for the supply, installation and commissioning of Mobile Satellite Service (MSS) terminals/Xponders. The order is scheduled for execution by October 2026.

NSIL functions as the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Government of India. It is responsible for commercialising space-related products and services, including satellite-based services, launch services, and the transfer of space technologies to industry.
