India, Sept. 11 -- Apple's first foldable iPhone may have taken centre stage at its 9 September launch, but the hardware unveiled alongside it points to a broader change in mobile computing. Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads are increasingly being processed on devices, while cloud infrastructure remains part of the computing stack when local resources are insufficient.

The iPhone Duo makes that shift visible. When unfolded, Apple's first foldable features a 7.6-inch display, 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max, along with a 5.4-inch outer display. Beneath the screens is the A20 Pro processor, designed for workloads ranging from graphics to on-device AI.
