India, April 10 -- Anthropic, an AI research company, announced that it has reached a new agreement with Google and Broadcom to expand the processing capacity supporting its Claude AI models, as demand for its systems continues to rise.
The agreements extend a deal announced in October 2025, under which the companies secured more than one gigawatt of computing power. The latest arrangement will further increase Anthropic's use of Google Cloud's tensor processing units (TPUs), the company's specialised AI chips.
As competition intensifies among AI developers to secure computing resources, the deal also reinforces Broadcom's position as a key supplier of infrastructure underpinning the expansion of AI systems.
