India, Oct. 3 -- The three telecom companies that have introduced 5G in India are Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea (Vi). The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) had initially directed these telecom service providers (TSPs) to submit 5G Electromagnetic Field (EMF) exposure certificates by 1 September 2025. However, this deadline has now been extended to 31 December 2025.
The extension follows concerns raised by the telecom operators regarding the large number of towers requiring certification and the limited availability of testing equipment.
