Hanoi, Aug. 8 -- The VinEnergo Energy Joint Stock Company has signed memoranda of understanding to install rooftop solar power systems integrated with battery energy storage systems (BESS) with the VinFast automobile plant and two battery factories in the central province of Ha Tinh.

The projects mark a significant step towards green manufacturing, greater use of renewable energy, and the development of clean energy infrastructure in the Vung Ang Economic Zone.

Under the agreements, VinEnergo will invest in, install, and operate 43 MWp of rooftop solar power capacity and 45 MWh of BESS capacity across the three plants. The systems are expected to generate nearly 50 million kWh of electricity each year, cutting more than 33,000 tonnes of...
