Washington, D.C., Feb. 19 -- Vietnam's leading carriers, Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet, have signed a series of major agreements worth more than 14 billion USD with US partners during a visit by Party General Secretary To Lam to Washington D.C., underscoring deepening aviation and economic ties between Vietnam and the US.
Vietnam Airlines on February 18 (US time) signed an agreement to purchase 50 Boeing 737-8 single-aisle aircraft valued at up to 8.1 billion USD. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Vietnamese leader and a high-level delegation during their working trip from February 18-20.
