Phnom Penh, Aug. 29 -- On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's August Revolution and National Day, Uch Leang, Acting Director of the Asia-Africa and Middle East Research Department at the Cambodia Institute of International Relations under the Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC), published an article in Khmer Times praising Vietnam's achievements. In his article, he stressed that the victory of the August Revolution in 1945 was a turning point that opened the era of national independence linked with socialism, while also inspiring liberation movements in Cambodia, Laos, and many other countries.
