Bangkok, Nov. 5 -- The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hoped the Loy Krathong festival will generate about 6.54 billion THB (over 200 million USD) in tourism revenue, with about 1.91 million Thai tourists expected to participate nationwide. Thai people celebrate Loy Krathong on the full-moon night of the 12th month in the old Thai calendar, and the main festival falls on November 5 this year.
