Bangkok, July 31 -- Thailand's House of Representatives on July 30 approved the repeal of 55 major orders issued by the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), the previous military junta. The motion was passed with 402 votes in favour, zero against, one abstention, and three non-voting members. It will be submitted to the Senate for consideration. During the session, chaired by First Deputy House Speaker Pichet Chuamuangphan, lawmakers deliberated on a draft bill proposing the annulment of various NCPO orders and notifications that are no longer deemed necessary or appropriate in the current context.
