Hanoi, Aug. 26 -- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed a decision approving a plan to build police waterway ports and stations nationwide, alongside the procurement of patrol vessels for the waterway police force, with the aim of strengthening security, crime prevention, and rescue operations across Vietnam's inland and coastal waterways. According to Decision No. 1818/QD-TTg, dated August 25, 2025, the scheme, to be implemented nationwide from 2025 to 2030, is designed to modernise infrastructure and equipment for the waterway police force, thus enhancing their operational capacity.
