Hanoi, Aug. 24 -- Students at 20 schools in San Antonio, a town in Zambales province of the Philippines, were sent home on August 24 morning after local authorities received a warning about a potential attack on the schools.
San Antonio Mayor Arvin Antipolo suspended classes at the 20 schools, notified the police, and established a command centre at City Hall to monitor the situation. Sending students home was a precautionary measure.
The warning, issued by a self-proclaimed informant, indicated that unidentified individuals planned to attack the schools.
