Hanoi, Aug. 9 -- Party General Secretary To Lam's upcoming state visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK) is expected to mark a new milestone in the bilateral relationship, creating fresh momentum for trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. Since establishing diplomatic ties in 1992, Vietnam and the RoK have steadily deepened their partnership, culminating in the upgrade to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2022. The Vietnam-Korea Free Trade Agreement (VKFTA), signed in 2015, has further strengthened bilateral economic links, enabling both sides to reap the benefits of reduced tariffs and expanded market access.
