Hanoi, Aug. 25 -- The Politburo's Resolution 23-NQ/TW dated August 2, 2026 on overseas Vietnamese (OV) affairs, signed by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam, carries political, diplomatic and national development significance for Vietnam, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang.

First, the resolution reflects the Party and State's sustained attention to the Vietnamese community abroad after more than two decades under an earlier policy framework, Hang told the Vietnam News Agency.
