Hanoi, Aug. 10 -- The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee is scheduled to convene its 48th session on August 11-13, with August 14-15 set as a backup date, according to the NA Office.

During the session, the committee will give opinions on the explanation, reception, and revision of the draft Law on the State of Emergency; four draft laws, namely the Law on Extradition, the Law on the Sentenced Persons, the Law on Mutual Legal Assistance in Civil Matters, and the Law on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters; as well as the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Oversight Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils.
