Hanoi, July 11 -- Women in the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) have provided long-term care and assistance to nearly 1,000 orphaned children under the "Adoptive Mother" programme, reflecting the military's commitment to social welfare and community solidarity. The information was released during a hybrid conference held by the VPA's General Department of Politics on July 10 to review the programme's implementation during 2021-2026 and present awards for a military women's writing contest featuring warm family meals.
