Hanoi, Aug. 6 -- The National Assembly (NA)'s first extraordinary session on August 6 heard a proposal and a verification report on a draft NA resolution to replace Resolution No. 96/2019/QH14 on crime prevention and control, law enforcement, the operations of the People's Procuracy, the People's Courts, and judgment enforcement. The draft resolution aims to establish a set of practical and achievable performance indicators to serve as a basis for the NA's oversight and objective evaluation of judicial activities, while strengthening accountability and checks on the exercise of power.
