Kuala Lumpur, Oct. 17 -- The Energy Ministers of Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore issued their sixth Joint Statement on October 16 during the 43rd ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) hosted by Malaysia.

The statement marks an important milestone, affirming the success of the multilateral and cross-border electricity trade under the Laos-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project (LTMS-PIP), while announcing the doubling of the project's electricity trading capacity to 200 megawatts.
