Da Nang, Dec. 22 -- A ceremony was held on December 20 in mountainous Tra Tan commune, Da Nang city, to launch the construction of houses for families affected by natural disasters under the "Quang Trung Campaign", aiming to help flood-hit residents stabilise their lives ahead of the 2026 Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival. According to Le Minh Chien, Chairman of the Tra Tan Commune People's Committee, Tra Tan is a disadvantaged mountainous locality where nearly 80% of the population are ethnic minorities, while poor and near-poor households account for almost 50% of the total.
