Hanoi, March 20 -- Hanoi's election committee on March 20 issued a resolution announcing the local election results and the list of successful candidates to the 17th municipal People's Council for the 2026-2031 term, comprising 125 members. Nguyen Minh Long, Director of the city's Department of Home Affairs, said the capital had over 6.01 million registered voters, of whom more than 5.98 million cast ballots, a turnout of 99.57%. No polling area recorded participation below 50%, while 2,669 out of its 4,098 polling stations reported 100% turnout.
