Hai Phong, Nov. 1 -- Hai Phong is emerging as one of Vietnam's front runners in tackling illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, from strict control over its fishing fleet, enhanced voyage monitoring, to traceability and sustainable management of marine resources. Alongside its action plan issued in late October for the peak month against IUU fishing, the northern port city is rolling out comprehensive and drastic measures to help Vietnam secure the removal of the European Commission's "yellow card" warning in 2025.
