Hanoi, March 30 -- A workshop on gender integration in Vietnam's post-war mine action activities was held in Hanoi on March 30, as part of a project aimed at enhancing women's participation in peace and security efforts, funded by the Canadian Department of National Defence. Co-organised by the Vietnam National Mine Action Centre (VNMAC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the event brought together representatives from the Ministry of National Defence, VNMAC, UNDP, various ministries, sectors and localities, as well as embassies, international organisations and experts from the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
