Hanoi, April 4 -- Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - French guest conductor Zahia Ziouani is set to perform in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with two leading orchestras, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) and the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO). In Hanoi, the VNSO concert will take place on April 11 at the Vietnam National Academy of Music's Great Hall, featuring Symphony 92 by Joseph Haydn, Claude Debussy's Petite Suite and Georges Bizet's Carmen Suites 1 and 2. On April 19, Ziouani will conduct the HBSO in a repertoire comprising the Vietnamese work Symphonic poem 2 by Tran Manh Hung, alongside Maurice Ravel's Piano Concerto and Bolero, and Debussy's La Mer at the Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Theatre.
