Hanoi, Aug. 26 -- Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has instructed military and police forces to maintain a high level of readiness and actively engage in efforts to address consequences of Typhoon Kajiki, which made landfall in central Vietnam on late August 25 afternoon, with priority given to schools, healthcare facilities, policy beneficiaries, and low-income groups. He made the request while chairing a meeting held at the Government's frontline command based in Nghe An province on August 26 to evaluate the typhoon's impact and put forward recovery measures.
