Hanoi, Aug. 9 -- Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang, a member of the 2025 Amnesty Advisory Council (second phase), on August 7 led an inter-agency delegation to inspect amnesty preparations at Thanh Xuan Prison in Hanoi.

During the inspection, Giang reaffirmed that amnesty is a humanitarian policy of the Party and State, reflecting the Vietnamese tradition of compassion and winning attention and high praise both domestically and internationally. He stressed that the second phase of the 2025 amnesty carries special significance as it takes place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2025).
