Hanoi, Oct. 28 -- Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes met with the Vietnamese media in Hanoi on October 28 to present a draft resolution Cuba will submit to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to call for an end to the US economic, commercial, and financial embargo on the Caribbean nation.

The draft, also called draft Resolution A/80/L.6, is expected to be discussed and voted on by the UNGA on October 28-29.

According to Ambassador Polanco Fuentes, this marks the 34th time Cuba has presented such a draft resolution to the UNGA to urge the US to lift its decades-long embargo.
