Continued efforts made to nurture love for homeland through mother tongue
Hanoi, Sept. 7 -- As September 8 has been designated as the Day honouring Vietnamese language among overseas Vietnamese (OV) communities, Vietnamese-language classes, book collections and community cultural events abroad have helped bring the mother tongue closer to generations of Vietnamese living around the world. The Politburo's Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, dated August 2, 2026, on OV affairs, continues to emphasise the preservation and promotion of the Vietnamese language and national cultural identity, with the aim of making the mother tongue a strong bond connecting generations of overseas Vietnamese with their homeland.
