Construction starts on 240-million-USD wind power plant in Ca Mau
Ca Mau, July 2 -- Construction of a wind power plant began in the Khai Long - Ca Mau tourism area in Dat Mui commune, the southernmost province of Ca Mau, on July 1, marking a step toward strengthening national energy security, supporting the locality's double-digit growth target and advancing green transition.
The project, invested by BCG Energy through the BCG - Khai Long 1 Wind Power JSC with a total investment of over 6.32 trillion VND (about 240 million USD), has a designed capacity of 100 MW. It covers a total area of 480.73 ha, including 454 ha offshore and 26.73 ha on land.
