Vientiane, Aug. 23 -- An event named "ASEAN Family Day" was held in Vientiane, Laos, on August 23 to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The event, hosted by the Indonesian Embassy in Laos in coordination with the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brought together officials and staff from ASEAN embassies in Vientiane, Lao officials, and local residents.

From early morning, the area around Patouxay Square - one of Vientiane's most iconic landmarks - was filled with cheerful voices and laughter.
